RAMSBOTTOM businesswoman Sarah Crompton's shop is anything but inferior when it comes to interiors!
And it's only fitting that her thriving Country Chic outlet should be set in the heart of rural Ramsbottom.
Last year, in a complete change in career direction, Sarah opened her shop in Bolton Street which stocks and sells a host of interiors and other household goods.
Now, thanks to the success of her business venture, she's opened a second floor to expand the range of products.
Sarah, who previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 18 years, said: "I've always been into home and garden goods and I just felt there wasn't anywhere locally to buy these."
In less than a year, Country Chic has established itself as a haven for home lovers. The range includes gardening gifts and accessories and painted garden furniture from France.
The newly-opened upstairs section to the shop has enabled Sarah to expand her stock. A distinctive French Bordeaux bed takes pride of place, alongside lamps and voiles. Another major feature is kitchen enamelware in pastel colours.
Sarah said: "I'm now expanding into interior design, having recently received a diploma in interior design from the National Design Academy."
She launched her own shop under the Working for Myself scheme backed by Bolton Business Ventures and Business Link. This involved a total cash grant of £750 to assist in start-up costs.
