WE all hear about anti-social behaviour and suffer it to some extent these days.
In the Whittaker Lane area of Prestwich we suffer perhaps more than others, so I was greatly pleased to see a police patrol dealing with several unruly girls on Saturday night. They can't have been more than 14, yet they were drinking, smoking and had just been involved in a fight.
The police confiscated their "contraband" and gave them a good telling-off. However, their efforts were undermined somewhat by two passing do-gooders who started questioning the police's actions, saying they they were "only kids" and suggesting that the officers should have the children's parents there if they were going to question them.
Perhaps these people could tell me where these parents live and I will gladly shepherd 15 drunken youths around to the roads outside their homes every weekend. After all they are "only kids"!
