IT sounds like a dodgy scene from Eastenders, but from next month, the two will spearhead Leigh RMI's quest for Conference survival.
That's after former Barnsley and Scarborough striker Karl Rose penned a deal to play at Hilton Park next season alongside another new signing Craig Mitchell.
"It's a great coup for us", enthused RMI boss Phil Starbuck. "He was targeted by Halifax and Northwich so it says a lot about our desire as a club that we have signed him."
Rose has been RMI's nemesis in the past - scoring for Scarborough in their last two visits to RMI.
And he could feature in next Wednesday's mouthwatering clash with Premiership side Everton.
"We're hoping that we'll have a strong side out and that they will too", added Starbuck, who has already seen warm-ups against Kidsgrove, Ashton United and Chadderton postponed.
"It's a big week for the club because we get to pit ourselves against Manchester City a few days later and that will hopefully give us a chance to
show the people of Leigh what we can do."
The club have arranged a friendly between the first team and reserves at Hilton Park on Saturday.
