AN organisation working towards a brighter future for families celebrated two years in Tyldesley with a fun day bash during Sure Start Month.
The event at Shakerley Fields gave parents and carers of under four year olds in the area the chance to meet the project workers and sign up for membership.
The government backed scheme aims to improve childen's social and emotional development and ability to learn.
Successful schemes set up so far include a toy library, splash time fun with Swim Tots, a midwife drop-in scheme, cookery and healthy eating clubs and programmes to give parents news skills and qualifications.
Parents interested in the scheme are invited to pop in to the Drop-in Centre at 181, Elliott Street, or call 01942 883279 to find out more.
