THE spirit of courageous Isis Naomi Shaw has lived on after a Leigh schoolboy walked away with a prize for bravery.
Gilded Hollins Primary School pupil Harry Barnett became the first person to win the award for showing bravery and bringing joy to the school.
The parents of Isis, Mark and Dawn, from Hallsworthy Close, Leigh, decided to dedicate an award in memory of their 12-year-old daughter who lost her brave fight against cystic fibrosis on Christmas Day last year.
Named after the Egyptian goddess Isis, she was fascinated by Egyptian culture.
And Year six pupil Harry received the one foot high brass cat trophy from Mark and Dawn on the last day of term last week, before the St Helens Road school broke up for the summer holidays.
