TWO Burnley hospital workers will face their fears later this year - with a skydive to raise vital funds for a children's cancer charity.
Paula Grange, 21, and Melissa Hawke, 24, who both work as clerical officers at Burnley General Hospital, have already raised £900 for Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood (CLIC), but hope to raise much more by the time they take the plunge in September.
Paula, of Pitt Street, in Padiham, found out about the charity and decided she wanted to do something to help raise money to show her support.
So she and Melissa, of Helvellyn Drive, Burnley, decided to organise the skydive.
Paula said: "We are both looking forward to doing it. Our families are coming with us on the day to support us."
Anyone who would like to sponsor them, or make a donation, can contact them at work on 01282 474144.
CLIC has appealed for more volunteers to help raise funds. Anyone who would like to support the charity should call Adele Robertson on 01302 714742.
