A PUB has been granted a public entertainment licence - but told to keep noise levels down.
Despite a flurry of protests from residents surrounding the Beehive pub, in Preston Old Road, Blackburn, landlord Barry Brooks was granted the licence by councillors.
Mr Brooks was by Blackburn with Darwen Council's licensing committee that noise levels would be monitored for six months.
Mr Brooks was also told to keep two doors closed while music was playing and to remove a speaker from the beer garden.
