TWIN Valley Homes is trying to get paths in the Johnston Close area of Blackburn closed in a bid to curb juvenile nuisance.
The company, which manages Blackburn with Darwen Council's former housing stock, applied to the borough's planning department to have the walkways blocked.
A council report said Twin Valley requested the action in an attempt to prevent further anti-social behaviour by youths congregating in the vicinity of paths linking Johnston Street and Addison Street with Ashworth Close and Johnston Close.
According to the report consultation has taken place with a local tenants' group, which supports the move.
Council officers will now advertise the closure of the paths before magistrates consider if the proposal should be allowed.
