PHIL Starbuck is flying in the face of the popular saying that familiarity breeds contempt.
The Leigh RMI manager has already raided his former club Hucknall Town for players this summer and the trend is set to continue with Clint Marcelle being trialled at Hilton Park in the next week.
The former Hull City and Barnsley winger has already teamed up with Starbuck at Hucknall and played his first game in red and white during Saturday's warm-up against the reserves.
"Clint did well and I know a lot about his game and his strengths", said Starbuck.
"But I'll be having another look at him - maybe on Saturday - to see how he looks and if we can get more out of him as a player."
