GREENMOUNT'S miserable form with the bat continued on Saturday when they slumped to a comprehensive home defeat at the hands of Kearsley.
Not even the debut of former Bradshaw captain David Morris could stir the villagers, who won the toss and opted to insert the Bolton side.
It was a decision that backfired dramatically, as Kearsley ran up a total of 209 for 6 from their 50 overs.
They found the visitors' South African professional Zander De Bruyn in superb form in his final game for the club before returning home to join his national A squad.
The paid man top-scored with a fine 65 and put on a good opening partnership of 108 with Steve Davies (52).
Greenmount's reply made a grim spectacle, not helped by De Bruyn's devastating 7 for 34 spell with the ball.
After losing opener Andy Bowker with the score on 11 they lost the next six wickets for only 51 runs and were eventually all back in the Log Cabin for 87.
Professional Nishit Shetty top-scored with 21 closely followed by 'extras' with 20.
