ST JOSEPH'S Church in Bury, has helped to raise £2,000 towards the CAFOD Sudan Emergency Appeal.
Collections and fundraising for the Darfur crisis in Sudan have been taking place throughout the region and churches in the diocese have helped to raise more than £21,000.
The money will help to provide support to 500,000 people who have been displaced into camps or are living near burned-out villages.
Basic infrastructure like education and health care will also be provided.
