INTREPID walkers are being encouraged to help Pendleside hospice by taking part in a Morecambe Bay Walk.
The walk will take place on Sunday, August 8, at a cost of£10, which includes transport to and from the Hospice.
Anyone being sponsored to take part will be able to travel and enjoy the walk for free.
The walk across the bay is being led by the Queens Official Guide to the Sands, Cedric Robinson.
Mr Robinson earns just £15 a year for guiding thousands of intrepid walkers across the estuary of the River Kent, which has the fastest flow of any British river.
Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle is based at Pendleside at Reedley.
This will be the third year that the hospice has organised a walk across the bay.
In previous years more than 250 have taken and more than £11,000 has been raised.
Anyone interested in taking part should call the fund-raising Office at Pendleside Hospice on 01282 440100 for an information pack.
