WHITEFIELD travel adviser Margaret Bilsborrow has clipped her travel wings by retiring after a quarter of a century of service.
Sixty-year-old Margaret, of Penrith Avenue has worked at the Co-op Travel store in The Haymarket, Bury, for the whole 25 years. But customers and colleagues don't need to wave goodbye just yet -- she is undertaking an administrative role for just three days a week in the store instead.
Margaret, who recently received a long service award from Co-op Travel, said: "I have enjoyed every day of my career at Co-op Travel. The regular customers are definitely the best part of the job but the company is really supportive organisation to work for.
"This is why I didn't want to leave. I'm delighted that I can still stay at the store and keep in touch with many of my customers and colleagues."
Sharleen Tither, manager of the Co-op Travel store, said: "Margaret has been here so long we didn't want her to leave. It's great that she'll be here part-time for many years and still have time to enjoy her retirement."
