A VAST array of attractions awaits visitors to this year's Philips Park Local Nature Reserve open day on Sunday (August 1).
Face painting, a chainsaw artist, farm animals and pond-dipping are on the agenda, plus charcoal burning, story-telling, a number of children's art activities, barrel making, guided walks and a dry stone walling demonstration.
The day runs from noon to 5pm, on the field between the children's play area and the Barn Countryside Centre.
Admission is free, with plenty of parking space. Refreshments and toilets are available.
The event is organised by Bury Council and the BTCV with funding from English Nature and the New Opportunities Fund Wildspace Scheme.
