DR Farook Chaudhry's letter (July 9) was hilarious in its defence of Bury MP David Chaytor who, it appears, has lived in Todmorden for all of the seven years he has represented this town.
So what relevance is it that David Chaytor's mother still lives in Bury? She is not our MP, so it doesn't matter where she lives, or where his second cousin by marriage lives, or anyone else for that matter! If I were in Mr Chaytor's shoes I would move back to the town he represents before it is too late.
Also, I do wonder if Dr. Chaudhry lost his seat in the recent elections because he too didn't live in the area he represented.
