LONG-haired barman Tony O'Sullivan is making the ultimate sacrifice by having his locks shorn off for charity.

Tony, who has worked at the Swan and Railway in Radcliffe for three years, will be raising the money for the Blackburn Royal Infirmary Maxillo Facial Unit in memory of former landlord Norman Harris, who lost his fight against cancer in 2002 and was treated at the unit.

The head shave will take place at the Spring Lane pub on Sunday (August 1) at 3pm, watched by regulars and Norman's widow, Mavis.

Tony's wife, Sue, will cut the flowing hair he has cherished for 37 years.
