IN support of P Broadley (LET, July 28), Feniscowles, Accrington and district once had a public health officer. He/she was a qualified doctor who specialised in public health, environment and council operation.
The post was abolished but much of their advice was enshrined in operations. Now we have a portfolio holding executive councillors.
Mr Broadley has seen the dangers, will the council?
D PRATT (Mr), Plantation Street, Accrington.
