AIR cadets from all over the world touched down at Bury's Bolton Street station.
A party of 35 cadets took a trip on the East Lancashire Railway as part of a two-week exchange visit to the UK.
The visitors, from Australia, Canada, USA Germany Turkey and Belgium, were on their way from a visit to Rawtenstall to accommodation in Salford.
Members of the group spent three days with the Air training Corps' East Lancashire wing, and are also visiting London, the North East and the Midlands.
Wing training officer Peter Rowan said: "They were surprised that everything on the railway was so well maintained by volunteers."
