ORGANISERS of the first Valley Mills Allotment Society show for five years said the event was a runaway success.
The society, which is now affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, relaunched the show at Williams Hall, Barkerhouse Road, Nelson, on Sunday.
Show secretary Justin Evans said: "It was an open show but we had a lot of people coming who show in some of the top events, like the Southport Show.
"We also had a lot of entries from our own allotments. It was really well supported by everyone."
