A CHARITY which uses horses and other animals to work with disabled and disadvantaged people is extending its work.
Lord House Farm, Rishton has provided a unique environment for personal growth and development over the last 11 years.
Horses and animals are used to develop social skills, self-esteem and confidence through hands-on experiences and the learning of new practical skills supported by staff and friendly, docile animals.
New ways of working with disadvantaged youngsters in the 13-19 age group will now introduce environmental based activities such as the creation of wildlife habitats, conservation topics and an introduction to environmental maintenance and recycling.
Various levels of certification will be available to young people. For further details contact Fiona Norcross or Kath Thacker at Lords House Farm 01254 877400 or email admin@lordshousefarm.co
