wTHE FIRST fun day to raise money for Blackpool's Gambia School Project takes place in Bispham this Saturday (July 31).
Happening at the First Norbreck Scout and Guid HQ, Bispham Gala Field, noon-4pm, it will be opened by 'Mighty Mo' Moreland of the Roly Polys. The fun will include bouncy castles, donkey rides, a barbecue, bar, stalls and games, plus a massive raffle with prizes including tickets for Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach show, Hot Ice.
As reported in The Citizen on July 1, Bispham man Gary Pretty and his wife, Annette, are trying to raise £150,000 to help Lamin village in Gambia build a desperately needed school, which they hope will be twinned with Blackpool's Devonshire Road School.
Gary also appealed for anyone who can help on the fun day, or who would like to run a stall, to contact him on 500321.
