AFTER reading the article (LET, July 26) about night time in Blackburn town centre, myself and my friends were quite upset. As people with an alternative taste in music and dress sense, we have been branded as 'Goths' before. We feel that we are being victimised because we are different.
If Margo Grimshaw goes ahead and demolishes C'est La Vie then we will have nowhere to go at weekends.
Its not the 'Goths' and 'Moshers' as we have been branded that cause all the trouble, it is other small-minded people.
As we only have one rock club to go to we feel we are being victimised and punished for being different.
I don't think that demolishing these clubs will make any difference to the violence. It is unsafe for anyone who looks a little different to walk alone in town at night as we have been subjected to big gangs of people who like dance music, beating us up just because we don't look or dress like them. 90 per cent of people who go to C'est La Vie can't afford to go to Manchester or Blackpool every weekend.
Please take this letter into consideration when making the decision whether or not to demolish these buildings.
