TWO paintings have been presented to Bealey Community Hospital in memory of a Radcliffe nurse killed in a motorbike crash.
Angela Townsend (47) died instantly on June 27 when she and her boyfriend, Bill Penfold, were thrown from his motorbike in a collision on the M60.
Former colleagues and friends from Fairfield General Hospital presented the two paintings to Bealey Community Hospital, Dumers Lane in Radcliffe, where Mrs Townsend worked as a senior sister.
Mrs Townsend lived with two of her three children in William Street, Radcliffe. She moved to Bealey Community Hospital last year after more than 20 years of nursing at Bury and Fairfield General Hospitals.
One of the paintings will hang in the newly renovated dining room at Bealey Hospital, while the other will be moved to Fairfield Hospital.
