RAISING their voices to raise money!
That's Bury Hospice which has announced a new event as a spin-off from the successful Voices for Hospice.
The Hospice is to launch its own Festival of Voices event which will involve a programme of concerts scheduled to take place between October 9 and 16.
This is a spin-off from Voices for Hospice, the world's largest musical event which gives hospices the chance to raise funds, awareness and practical support by organising their own musical performances under the Voices umbrella.
Bury Hospice's Festival of Voices week will begin on October 9 with a choral concert at Bury Parish Church, starting at 7.30pm. St Gabriel's High School choir and Ramsbottom Choral Society will perform a variety of choral pieces. Tickets cost £5.
The following evening, the churches of Radcliffe will be staging a service of celebration and dedication for Bury Hospice. The event will take place at St Thomas Church, Radcliffe, at 6pm.
On October 11, Bacco Italian restaurant in Silver Street, Bury, is the venue for a delightful evening of entertainment and fine food. The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £28 must be booked in advance.
The Astral Players will be providing an afternoon of entertainment on October 12 from 2pm onwards at Bolton Road Methodist Church, Bury. Tickets are £2.
The week will be rounded off in style on October 16 with a "Songs from the Shows" concert at Radcliffe Civic Suite which begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5.
