A GIRL with cerebral palsy could be without facilities designed to improve her quality of life after water flooded her Rossendale home.
Disabled Hannah Warburton, nine, who was starved of oxygen at birth, would not be able to use her hydrotherapy pool and physiotherapy suite on the ground floor of the family home off Cowpe Road, Cowpe.
The blow comes after about a foot of water flooded the house following Tuesday's storms.
Her father David, 42, said he went outside to check the weather and shortly afterwards two-and-a-half feet of water came rushing down the drive.
He said: "At the moment Hannah is stuck upstairs. She absolutely loves the pool, she just loves swimming.
"One of the purposes of the house is so she can enjoy life as much as possible."
Mr Warburton and her partner Maggie Heggs have been building the house for two years. They only moved in a few weeks ago.
The ground floor is designed so Hannah, who receives physiotherapy every two weeks, can live with the family and receive specialist care at home.
Mr Warburton added: "To have everything back the way it was before I would say will take approximately three months.
"The insurance will cover it but it is just the inconvenience we are going to suffer now."
