Two masked men walked into the service station in Middleton Road, at 1.25pm on Tuesday (Aug 3) and kicked down a door to reach a terrified female cashier.
They threatened the woman with a small hand-gun and forced her to open a safe before making off on foot with its cash contents.
Both men are said to be white, around 5ft 6 ins tall and of slim to medium build. They were black tracksuit bottoms, black hooded tops and wore scarfs over their faces.
If anyone witnessed the raid contact Bury's robbery unit on 0161 856 8092.
