PENDLE Borough Council has strengthened its research team with two key appointments.
Stuart Sambrook has been appointed as the first co-ordinator of the Joint Citizens' Panel, which allows residents to be more involved in the decisions taken by their local councils.
He will be working with the East Lancashire E Partnership (ELEP) to promote joint consultation across the five districts of Burnley, Pendle, Ribble Valley, Rossendale and Hyndburn.
Stuart said: "I am really looking forward to being involved in this high-profile innovative project, helping people across East Lancashire have the opportunity to have their say and make a real difference to their communities."
His first project is co-ordinating and producing the new Feedback newsletter and Community Safety Partnership questionnaire and analysis.
Laurie Brennan has been appointed as policy and research officer and will be providing more general research support to the council.
