PLANS were unveiled to make Accrington Stanley's Peel Park become the first football ground in the country where spectators could watch games in warmth even in the coldest weather.
After gate losses of £300-£500 a year following frosty conditions put off even regular supporters, the gas infra-red radiant heaters were tried out in a new stand for home and visiting directors.
