MAJOR refurbishment work at Prestwich Library has meant a move for area co-ordinator Carran O'Grady.
Carran occupied a first floor office at the library but has taken up temporary residence at Prestwich Police Station while the facilities are being re-designed.
As reported in the Guide, the first floor of the library will be renovated to accommodate new IT facilities, adult education classes transferred from Thorndyke Walk and the exhibition room transformed into a new homework room.
The ground floor will also under go change, with the introduction of a council information point and payments facility.
Despite the move, Carran's contact number remains the same 0161 253 7245.
She is available at the station in Fairfax Road on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at Bury Town Hall the rest of the week.
Carran is expected to return to the library, and her new office, at the end of September.
Prestwich Library is open as normal during the refurbishments.
