ALL the world's a stage and PADOS seem to have it firmly in their hands judging by their success last season.
The group, which is based at PADOS House, in St Mary's Road, Prestwich notched up an impressive 37 award nominations and managed to scoop 10 wins for their various productions.
One of the big successes of the year was the one act play by Howard Brenton The Education of Skinny Spew.
The three-strong cast of Kathryn Gorton, Simon Fletcher and Martin Anderson presented the play at Hale, Bramhall, Sale and Glossop to much acclaim.
This won them three awards for best comedy, best direction (Kathryn Gorton) and best supporting actor (Martin Anderson).
Other awards came from the Greater Manchester Drama Federation, Manchester Musical Awards, the National Operatic and Dramatic Association and the All England Festival for the group's productions of The Gazebo, When We Are Married, Little Shop of Horrors and Hot Mikado.
The group are now looking forward to an exciting new season (details published next week) and have provided one last chance to see the award winning The Education of Skinny Spew .
A date for the "curtain up" will be announced soon and should include one or two other surprises.
