RUNNERS hit the tracks and trails of Radcliffe to complete the Joan Rhodes Memorial 6.5 mile race.
About 150 athletes pulled on their trainers and headed to the start line outside the Masons Arms on Sion Street for the 10 km race.
The race, which took place last Thursday evening, was in memory of Joan Rhodes who died five months ago. Her husband, Jim Rhodes, from Radcliffe Athletics Club, helped to organise the event.
The men's winner of the Joan Rhodes memorial cup was Ken Chapman, from Salford Harriers in 37 mins 25 seconds, and the women's race winner was Clare Kenny, of Calder Valley, in 46 mins 48 secs. The winner of both the men's and women's Joan Rhodes memorial team cups was the Burnden Road Runners.
