A TEENAGER suffered serious head injuries in town centre accident.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 19 year-old pedestrian was hurt in the Saturday night incident involving a blue Ford Mondeo driven by a 35-year-old local man.
The accident happened at 10.30pm as the car travelled east from Twist Lane acros King Street into Spinning Jenny Way where the teenager was crossing the road.
After treatment at the Royal Bolton Hospital the injured man was transferred to the intensive care unit at Wigan Royal Infirmary where his condition is improving.
