THE Left Handers' Club picked a fitting day to celebrate -- unlucky Friday the 13th.
They decided it was their day to honour the right to be left-handed and I publicised the event a couple of weeks ago.
As a result the Lowton mum of a family of all left handers called to tell me of the difficulties in finding useful equipment locally.
Pauline Todd, husband, John, and son, David, are all kibbo and since a stall in Bolton market that sold such things as left-handed scissors, secateurs and tin openers vanished the family has to send away to a shop in London which sells left-handed cork screws, watches, rulers, potato peelers, scrapers and butter spreaders etc. We in the majority don't realise the need for such things.
For anyone interested the shop has a website www.anythinglefthanded.co.uk or ring 02087703722.
