HINDSFORD FC started the season with a convincing 5-2 home win against Stand Athletic.

Stand opened the scoring early in the game but Hindsford came back strongly and following good work by Darren Briggs and Adam Allcock, Matt Toone hit a low drive into the corner. Hindsford took a deserved lead when Ryan Willett crossed for Mark Morris to head back for Simon Hampson to head home.Toone added a third after rounding the keeper.

Hindsford controlled much of the game in the second half and Toone completed his hat trick after good work by Pete Costello. Stand scored on a rare break but Toone made it five with a first time shot from Willett's fine pass.

Hindsford reserves had a superb 4-2 away win at Wilmslow Albion after being two down.
