Gig sold out within hours
TICKETS for Preston's first Morrissey gig since 1986 sold out yesterday, just hours after going on sale.
The former Smiths' front man will appear at the Guild Hall on Friday September 10 as part of his You are the Quarry tour.
The Preston date was added to the tour through public demand. Tickets went on sale at 9amon Wednesday and by 3.45pm all 2,000, priced £27.50 each, were sold.
The pop legend has not played in Preston since 1986 when the concert was halted after two minutes when the star was hit on the head by a coin thrown from the crowd.
