A POWER cut hit 1,500 homes in Unsworth on Tuesday evening (Aug 17).
Houses in the Millom Drive area were plunged into darkness at 8.30pm due to a fault with a high voltage cable and engineers from United Utilities got to work on the problem straight away. Power was restored to 650 properties within the hour and the rest were back on by 10pm.
United Utilities apologised to customers for any inconvenience this may have caused.
