I WOULD like to thank David Foss for his interesting letter regarding mobile phone masts (Letters, August 10), but no thanks go to Councillor Derek Boden's patronising reply (Letters, August 13).
On August 11, two flagpole antennae were installed on a factory building, at the rear of my house, and now we have to live only "several metres" from them. What joy my family, neighbours and myself will have, gazing upon these magnificent structures each and every day as we wait for someone else to discover if they are truly harmless.
Bury Council certainly deserve an award for continually lowering the standard of living in Ramsbottom, yet raising the council tax. Well done!
SHIRLEY HALL,
Wildwood Close,
Ramsbottom.
