PEOPLE attending Darwen Gala tomorrow will also be able to find out more about their new health centre.

Blackburn with Darwen Primary Care Trust is inviting local people to visit its Darwen Health Centre stand in the marquee at the gala.

Visitors will see what the new centre will look like, find out more about the services which will be provided and ask questions about its progress.

There will also be a competition to guess the number of bricks in the completed building.

The PCT stand will be staffed between noon and 5pm when Christine Winstanley, building commissioning project manager, and Jane Parker, deputy neighbourhood administrator, will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

During the afternoon, they will be joined by Darwen resident and campaigner for disabled rights Graham Carter and other members of the advisory group which is helping the PCT plan the new centre.
