I WRITE in agreement with Edith Grainge's letter (Citizen 5/8) on the subject of landau horses. This lady certainly has good horse sense!
Landaus, along with beach donkeys, belong to the distant past when beach holidays for families ruled supreme here in Blackpool and motor vehicles were thin on the ground.
Her suggestion of moving the landaus to Stanley Park is ideal. It would be a safe environment for the horses, a beautiful scenic ride for the passengers and the problem of the horse droppings would be solved -- what better natural fertilizer for the flower beds could you ask for and all delivered on site for free!
