ECONOMIC growth in the U.K. during the past seven years under this Labour Government, has outstripped the economic performance of the 18 Tory years, a new report has revealed.

Chancellor Gordon Brown's steady stewardship of the economy has avoided the 'boom and bust' of previous years which has undoubtedly benefited our economy greatly and added £48billion to the nation's economy. The figures show that growth averaged 2.8per cent throughout the seven years of this Labour Government, easily beating the Tory average of just 2.2per cent.

Economist Maurice Fitzpatrick who analysed the economic performance reportedly said "The economic growth has been more stable under Labour" This has resulted in big investment in areas that affect every family in the country, health and education that has taken place since 1990.
