STUDENTS in Ramsbottom could be in for some extra cash with the help of a specialist grant.
Two trust funds in the area are offering to support to those attending high schools, colleges or universities.
The British Cotton Growers' Association's Ramsbottom fund is offering small grants to students who live in Ramsbottom and are under 25.
And the John Kay Memorial Fund also has available small sums to learners who live within the metropolitan borough of Bury who are former students of Bury College and now attend Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
Preference for the funds will be given to students studying engineering, textile and associated subjects.
Local students have until Friday, September 17, to submit completed application forms, which are available by calling on 0161 253 5118/5129 or by e-mailing l.whittle@bury.gov.uk
