MRS Irene Cooney and Peter Pike are working to keep open local post offices in Burnley -- good luck to them!
But there's no end to the ignorance and callousness of the jobs wasting at the Post Office.
The recent news of a kind-hearted postie, M West, Lancashire, being stopped from delivering bits of shopping to old people after having had his helpfulness praised just goes to show that Post Office officials don't care a bit about old people, or indeed mums with small children and disabled people.
It is ridiculous to expect people who use Briercliffe Road, Queen Victoria Road and Queensgate Post Offices to have to go to Duke Bar. Losing their neighbourhood post offices must be a terrible worry to a lot of people.
Just what has the Post Office got against the vulnerable customers?
