SCHOOL-LEAVERS unsure about what to do with their future were given some valuable advice during a two-day roadshow.
Bury College's Training Solutions roadshow, held in the town centre's Kay Gardens, aimed to help youngsters and job seekers, aged 16 to 24, find work through the Apprenticeship scheme.
Staff members and advisors from the work-based learning company were on hand to discuss job options and career choices.
The scheme offers a wide range of courses including business administration, using and installing IT, care of the elderly and hairdressing and beauty.
Janet Green, Training Solutions manager, said: "Apprenticeships are part of the solution to skill shortages, both now and in the future. Going straight from school into a job is attractive to many young people so apprenticeships give them the chance to learn the skills needed to get ahead, while earning a wage. It's the best of both worlds."
