DOG owners are being urged to have their pets checked for arthritis during the "Hip Hip Hurray" special awareness month.
Like humans, canines can experience pain, stiffness and lack of mobility some owners may mistake as just old age.
Throughout September, hundreds of veterinary practices, including Park Vet Clinic, Bury Old Road in Prestwich and Irving Vets, Church Lane in Whitefield, are supporting the Hip Hip Hurray Canine Arthritis Awareness month and offering arthritis check ups.
