DARWEN face another action-packed weekend following last week's overnight stay in the Lake District.

This weekend it's a triple header for Chris Lowe's men, who have a cup semi-final sandwiched between two Northern Premier League games.

Sunday's Thwaite's Cup clash at Morecambe (1.30pm) carries an extra incentive in that the winner will get automatic home advantage for the final against the winner of the Netherfield v Leyland tie.

In the league, it's Lancaster at home on Saturday and back to Birch Hall on Monday for the bank holiday derby with Chorley.

Chairman Peter Lamster insists that, despite the incentive of a big cup game, the league position still hold importance despite the hopes of clinching a third successive title fading fast.

He said: "We haven't given up in the league because we want to finish high enough for a Lancashire Cup place.

"But the Morecambe game is the big one because of the home advantage we'd have in the final."

Craig Chatterton replaces Chris Clarke for the Lancaster game, then Andy Cook will go to Morecambe in place of Chatterton.

Clarke then comes back into the side for Cook against Chorley, who face Barrow at home in the league on Saturday.
