FUNDRAISERS are turning to Rat Pack entertainers to help make this year's Rossendale Hospice dinner the most successful ever.

The glittering annual dinner is being held at Blackburn Rovers Football Club on October 16 with the theme being Rat Pack.

Tributes to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior will be performing on the night which will be full of the glamour of New York, Las Vegas and Hollywood.

There will also be a DJ, auction, raffle, and stand-up bingo with some amazing prizes to be won on the night including a diamond, a signed England football shirt, tickets to see Manchester United at Old Trafford, a VIP night out for 16 people to see Ronan Keating live in concert at Manchester's MEN arena, signed Coronation Street goodies, a sports car for the weekend, and a tour of the House of Commons.

Supporters of this year's ball who have donated some of the fantastic prizes include Manchester United and England stars Phil and Gary Neville, the cast of Coronation Street and Rossendale MP Janet Anderson.

Tickets are selling fast and are available from Sharon Lees at Rossendale Hospice. They are priced £50 per person and tables of 10 are available.

Last year's event raised more than £25,000 for the hospice and the special events committee, led by Louise Pilliteri. Louise said: "It's going to be a fantastic event yet again this year. We are hoping to raise even more money this year.

"With all the amazing entertainment we will have and the prizes that we have had donated I'm sure it's going to prove an extremely popular event yet again."
