Bury 4 Kidderminster 0: GRAHAM Barrow's goal-hungry Bury rammed home another four as Jan Molby's side were put to the sword.

The Shakers were well worth their convincing victory. which followed Saturday's 3-0 derby win at Rochdale.

Teenage striker Dave Nugent was the architect of yetserday's triumph, scoring one and setting up the other three to send visiting scouts away from Gigg Lane drooling.

Such was the Shakers' superiority, that it was a wonder that it took until 32 minutes for them to open the scoring.

Defender Paul Scott won the ball and fed Chris Porter. He slid an inch-perfect ball for Nugent to chase, and the young Scouser rounded Harriers keeper John Danby to fire into the roof of the net.

In first-half stoppage time, the roles were reversed when Dave Flitcroft won the ball in the middle of the park and Nugent went scurrying away down the left.

He showed great awareness to see co-striker Porter in space in front of goal and delivered a superb pass, which his team-mate clipped over Danby for Bury's second.

Just before the hour mark, Flitcroft calmly sidefooted home his side's third from the edge of the box after being played in by Nugent.

Porter added another goal four minutes later, sterring in Nugent's cross from close range.

Both sides had a player sent off; Flitcroft was dismissed for a second bookable offence, with Kidderminster's Micky Mellon was given his marching orders shortly before the whistle after a rash challenge on Porter.

Barrow said: "We didn't look as though we'd played on Saturday, we were so full of running today.

"That's credit to the players and the coaching staff.

"The most pleasing thing to me was the number of options we had on the substitutes' bench.

"If our players are fit, we are going to be strong and that's going to be the story of our season.

"The simplicity of our football was great to watch and we could have been a few goals up before we even scored.

"Both our young strikers are doing superbly and long may it continue.

"Goals are coming from everywhere and we are looking a lot more solid since Danny Swailes has come back into the side."
