MY father served in the Lancashire Fusiliers for around 20 years. He served in India, Germany and France.
He was at Dunkirk and with the D Day landings.
He was a motor bike dispatch rider in the military police and was mentioned in despatches.
He would be appalled at the loss of the Lancashire Regiment.
