THANK you and your paper for backing the campaign to save the Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
I am writing on behalf of my husband and family.
My husband's father was in the Pals Regiment and was awarded the Military Medal and we are very proud of his service. His name was Fred Snowden and he lived in Padiham when he joined the Pals.
My husband is now 80 years-old and his father would have been 106 now, he died aged 58 in 1956.
MR and MRS R SNOWDEN, Burns Street, Padiham.
