MEMBERS of the Catholic overseas aid charity CAFOD are planning a demonstration in Burnley calling for trade justice.

Supporters will meet at the Charity Arch in Burnley centre to call on the Government to pass laws that will stop big business profiting at the expense of the third world.

CAFOD also wants poor countries to be free to choose the best policies for reducing poverty.

The gathering, on September 11, is part of a nationwide campaign organised by the Trade Justice Movement.

People visiting the Arch will be asked to cast a vote for Trade Justice that will be sent to the Labour Party conference.
